About Tall Order
Tall Order started as something very personal for my family. After we lost my husband Andrew on 9/11, my boys and I spent time bringing clean socks to the firefighters and first responders as a small way to show gratitude, and we used to say it would be a Tall Order to ever repay them.
That idea of giving back and showing up for others became the foundation of our company. Like Andy and me, our sons grew up to be incredibly tall men: Mike is 6’11” and Dan is 6’9” and they both wear size 16 shoes. They simply could not find socks that fit. Not basic socks and certainly not anything fun or expressive. So they decided to solve the problem themselves. Tall Order was built to serve people who had been overlooked, starting with men with larger feet and extending to anyone who has ever felt like products were not made with them in mind.
But everything really goes back to Andy. He was a big man with an even bigger heart. He believed in taking care of people, enjoying life, and making every day count. That’s the standard we try to live up to. That is the Tall Order.
And after 8.5 years building the business, we have amazing news to share. Our best-selling Game Changer athletic socks are joining the performance legwear lineup of the Stance brand, the official on field sock of Major League Baseball. We’ve been called up to the big leagues!
Even as the Game Changer becomes part of the Stance performance lineup, it will remain co- branded with Tall Order’s signature bright blue color in the logo and stripe, which is a nod to the clear blue sky on September 11, 2001.
