Daniel Ricciardo has solidified himself as one of the most elite drivers on the grid and has since earned the nickname, The Honey Badger.
His new limited edition collection comprises of one training sock style and one lifestyle sock style, both featuring designs inspired from Ricciardo’s 2019 season helmet. The helmet was designed by British born artist Nicolai Sclater, who works under the name Ornamental Conifer, and the distinctive pink, blue and green design words "stop being them" on one side, Ricciardo's number three on the other, and his nickname emblazoned on the back.
The training sock, Ricciardo Train, features the striking, asymmetrical color-blocking patterns as seen on his helmet with his number “3” printed on the sides, while the lifestyle sock, Ricciardo, offers a more subtle take on the funky design.
“I chose to highlight the designs of my helmet as a helmet is very personal to a driver and I do see mine as a true expression of myself,” said Daniel Ricciardo. “I wanted the socks to be colorful with a bit of a wow factor, while still keeping it cool and understated. The subtle details such as the lightning bolt throughout and the “Honey Badger” logo against the bright colors work to reflect my style - it’s just me.”
