user by kurumi

Our Punks and Poets are anything but average. Since Greyson's family history is filled with legendary surfers, it would have only made sense for him to follow the family sport. Instead he's carrying the Fletcher torch into skateboarding to create a new branch of skaters on the family tree. Check out this trailer of Greyson defying the title "Team Average" in issue #39 of Monster Children coming out in June.

New Work From Kassia Meador at AR4T’s “Cloud Hunters”

user by Stance Gal

Richard Phillips calls Punks & Poets team member Kassia Meador a "21st century renaissance artist who brings a mastery to everything she does, and whose contagious energy simply changes everything around her in a positive way." We feel similarly, which is why you shouldn't miss her new gallery show Cloud Hunters at AR4T (Artists Republic 4 Tomorrow, 210 North Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, California).

Kassia will be debuting new work alongside fellow artist Gomez Bueno from May 2 (the opening reception kicks off tomorrow, May 2, 2013 at 6pm) through May 26, 2013. Be there, or miss out.

Chase Stopnik tests out the new Matix X Dickies board shorts

user by kendyl

Since 1922, Dickies has been making purpose built work apparel that gets the job done. Now Matix has partnered with Dickies to provide you with a board short constructed in that same rugged spirit. In fact it took only a few weeks for our punk and poet, Chase Stopnik to wear in a pair of Dickies Original 874 before he was inspired to pay homage to the American Worker by combining the dirt and grit of the job site with the comfort and weight of a traditional Matix board short. The result, the Original 874 board short with all the durability and detailing you expect from Dickies without the weight. Built of 100% sublimated Polyester to work off shore and in the water.

CCS Stance Party Recap

user by kurumi

CCS made an awesome recap of our party featuring our Marketing Manager Erica Yary!

"Often times skateboard brands throw parties for specific events like video premieres, product launches or to celebrate a newly named pro, but sometimes companies just want to party for the sake of partying and that's exactly what Stance did this week in Los Angeles. Stance corespondent Erica Yary took us deep inside Stance's private LA soiree for an up-close-and-personal look at some of what the brand has coming down the pipe. Featuring a few pro rider comments from Daniel Lutheran, a look at the Keep A Breast collection, a sick build out from the Cycle Zombies, a live contortionist and even a Muska sighting, the Stance party definitely had it all. Take a look at the video below for more and then scroll down to see the latest NBA Legends series socks from Stance currently available in the CCS Shop."
